Sarah Jane O'Shell

Sarah Jane O'Shell, 81, of Green Cove Springs, FL., went to be with her Lord on Saturday December 9th, 2023 at Community Hospice Earl B. Hadlow Center for Caring.

Sarah and her husband Robert moved from Pennsylvania to Florida in 2001. She loved spending time with her family, spending summers in Pennsylvania with her daughter & family, and the rest of the year in Florida with her boys & family. She loved attending and serving at the First Baptist Church of Green Cove Springs. She loved to fill her time listening to Southern Gospel music and always had an open heart and a listening ear for anyone who needed to talk. She was an avid cross stitcher and crocheter and blessed many of her family and friends with beautiful and cherished creations.

She is preceded in death by her mother Bernice Edna Stump & father Thomas Franklin Stump, as well as her half-brothers Carl Hill & Edward Hovis. She is also preceded in death by her husband Robert Eugene O'Shell, their infant son Loran Donovan O'Shell, and their infant great-granddaughter Katrina Barnett.

Sarah is survived by her children Sydney Barnett (Donald) of Punxsutawney, PA., Robert O'Shell of St. Augustine, FL., Shawn O'Shell (Malissa) of St. Johns, FL., and Brock O’Shell (Lauren) of St. Johns, FL. She is also survived by her grandchildren Serena Davis of Little Rock, AR., Harry Myers (Darleen) of Staunton, VA., Timothy Myers (Mandy) of Reynoldsville, PA., Daniel Barnett (Jessica) of Sykesville, PA., Sarah, Elizabeth & Katie O’Shell of St. Augustine FL., Kellan & Kailey O’Shell of St Johns, FL., Ashton, and Grace & Campbell O’Shell of St Johns FL.

She also leaves behind her great-grandchildren Christian Green of AR., Nathaniel Myers of PA., William, Derek & Victor Myers of VA., Tyler Myers of PA., Zackary Myers of PA., Nickaela & Timothy Myers & Dylan Hartsfield of PA., Alexandria Robinson (William) of PA., Daniel Barnett, Jr., Cassy & Lucas Barnett of PA., and her great-great-granddaughters Lilley Young & Neveah Robinson of PA.

She has touched the lives of so many others, including friends, neighbors, and caregivers, and will be greatly missed.

Friends will be received at a service celebrating her life on Friday, December 15th at 11:00am at the First Baptist Church of Green Cove Springs, FL. Pastor Sam Castano will officiate.
