Steven passed away on February 27, 2020 with his family by his side. He was born October 4, 1955 in Mobile, Alabama.

As a young child Steven traveled with his family to Japan, Utah, Indiana, France, England, and North Dakota. Upon his father’s retirement from the Air Force, they moved to Orange Park and settled. Steven was in the Boy Scouts and achieved the highest rank of Eagle Scout.

He graduated from Orange Park High School and went on to obtain his college degree from Jacksonville University, graduating with a major in Mathematics and a minor in Computer Science. Steven married the love of his life, Carol Cook Newton on July 2, 1988. Steve had an early passion for computers and after graduation from college continued to work in this field until he decided to fulfill another passion where he taught high school math for 2 years. Steven suffered with diabetes and his health began to decline, therefore he was forced to give up teaching.
