Steven Sobotta

Steve Sobotta of Green Cove Springs, FL departed this life on September 18, 2020.  He was born to Joe and Lily Jean Sohm Sobotta on November 12, 1978.  He was preceded in death by his brother Tim Sobotta on March 24, 2010.  He is survived by his parents Joe (Joey) and Lily Jean Sobotta and his oldest brother Andy and his wife Terrie Sobotta of Middleburg, FL.  He has four nephews, Jake, Brad and Morgan Sobotta and Joshua Garrett.  He has two nieces, Brittany Sobotta and Jessica Garrett and his fiancé, Tara Hoffman.

Steve was the sole proprietor owner of S&S Lawn Care.  His true love was family, friends, and Country Music and Supercross.  He and some of his friends played and performed for the sheer pleasure of it.  He and Tara traveled as often as possible to country performances both near and far.  He will be sorely missed by his family, friends, and S&S clients.

His loss has devasted us but his Glorious Gain on the other side finally meeting Jesus his Lord & Savior, his brother Tim and maybe, just maybe, some of our great dogs.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Steve’s name may be made to the Hickory Grove Baptist Church Bereavement Committee, 310 S. Oakridge Ave., Green Cove Springs, FL 32043.

The family will receive friends from 10:00 - 11:00 am, Friday, September 25, 2020 at Hickory Grove Baptist Church. Funeral services to follow at 11:00 am with Pastor Joseph A. Sobotta, Jr officiating. Graveside services will follow at 2:00 pm at Penney Farms Cemetery.
