Thomas J. Graham, April 11, 1934 - March 22, 2019 

 

Thomas J. Graham, age 84, passed away on Friday, March 22, 2019.   Tom was born on April 11, 1934 in Ozone Park, Queens in New York to the late Frank and Mae (Roberts) Graham.

 

He was a proud alumnus of Power Memorial Academy in New York City and served in the United States Marine Corps.     Tom married the love of his life Ann Marie Messina on January 17, 1960 in Woodhaven, Queens, where their sons were born.

 

For over forty years, Tom worked in naval architecture and engineering, supporting the United States Navy.  In connection with his career, he relocated to the Washington DC area, raising his family in Crofton, Maryland.    

 

Tom and his wife Ann retired to Fleming Island, Florida, where he was an avid tennis player.

 

Tom is survived by his wife, Ann Marie Graham; his sons, Chris (Beth) of Phoenix, Arizona and Paul of Reston, Virginia; his grandson, Carson and his granddaughter, Lyndsey.  He was predeceased by his brothers, Jack Graham and Frank Graham and his sisters, Margaret Carey and Frances Graham. He is also survived by his brother, Robert Graham; nine nephews and nieces.

 

A memorial service will be held at 10:00am on Thursday, April 11, 2019 in the Broadus-Raines Chapel.  Inurnment of cremains with military honors will take place at 11:00am on Friday, April 12, 2019 at the Jacksonville National Cemetery.

 

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Pulmonary Fibrosis Foundation.
