It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Thomas Ottis Hill, son of Thomas Alma Hill and Vera Boxx Hill (both deceased) on Friday, August 20, 2021, in Lawrenceville, GA at the age of 73. He was born July 23, 1948, in Jacksonville, FL. Thomas will be lovingly remembered by his wife and companion of over 50 years, Phyllis Pond Hill. Thomas also will be lovingly remembered by his five sons, Thomas Hill, of Lawrenceville, GA; James (Sarah) Hill of Lawrenceville, GA; Andrew Hill of Lawrenceville, GA; Aaron Hill of Lawrenceville, GA; and Stephen (Brandi) Hill of Lawrenceville, GA. Thomas is also survived by 14 Grandchildren and 1 Great-Grandchild. Thomas will also be remembered by his siblings, Linda (Dolan) Bradberry of Wilkesboro, NC; Benson (Bridget) Hill of Mesa, AZ; Melissa Wilderman (deceased); Sandra Hill of Jacksonville, FL; and Lillian (Robert) Kruger of American Fort, UT.
Thomas was a 1967 graduate of Nathen B. Forrest High School and was very active in his Church, The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints where he served a full-time mission for two years. He later met and married the love of his life, Phyllis Pond. They had 5 children all born while living in Jacksonville FL. Later moving to Lawrenceville, GA, where the family has been for the last 25 years. Thomas enjoyed working in the Atlanta Temple and serving the people of his church. Thomas was known for his extreme love of his family, especially those precious grandchildren and great-grandchild. He would never turn down a bag of popcorn while watching a good movie. Thomas was more precious to his family than words can describe. The void left in our hearts will not be filled until we can be reunited in the next life.
