Thomas Patrick White

Thomas Patrick White (Pop) was born on December 28th, 1937 in Pittsfield, Massachusetts to Harold and Stella (BeeMa) White. Pop passed away at his beautiful home in Green Cove Springs, FL on April 6th, 2019. He was 81 years old. 

Finding words to describe the most amazing man on earth is difficult. Honest, hardworking, sweet, gentle and kind are only a few. He was a dedicated husband of over 50 years to our wonderful Mom, Sonja (Sally) Evans White who passed away on December 30th, 2011. A father of 4 (Jeff, Greg, Marianne, and Susie) and grandfather to many (Killian, Kenley, Patrick, Polly, Anna, Ashley, Gavin, and Luke) and his beloved labradoodle, Denver. 

He unselfishly lived life for others and constantly sacrificed for his family. Soft spoken and never confrontational, he loved his family and friends tirelessly. He was witty and loved a good joke, especially those he would receive by email from his closest friends. He loved his iPhone and came to be known as “Texting Tom”. He played senior softball for years and spoke proudly of the many tournaments he played in and the true lifelong friends he made during that time. 

Most importantly, he loved a good day on the St. Johns River catching Reds, Stripers, and Crockers. He lived to fish and fished to live. The River House Mom and Dad built together over 25 years ago molded and changed many lives for the better. Not only has it provided us with amazing memories that will be with us forever, it showed us the rewards of hard work. Our parents hard work, true sacrifice and dedication to their children and grandchildren will never be forgotten. Let them now Rest In Peace together knowing they were truly everything parents should be. 

We love you so much Dad! You will always be remembered and never be forgotten. You were loved by so many and will live forever in our hearts ♥️
