Timothy “Tim” David Crawford stepped into the arms of Jesus surrounded by loved ones on January 9, 2021 at the age of 62 following a battle with COVID-19. Tim was born to Robert Crawford and Lola Maxine Rice on November 26, 1958 in Columbus, Ohio. He was a member of the 1977 graduating class from the Cardinal Gibbons School in Baltimore, Maryland and had an accomplished sales career in industrial plastics that spanned over 30 years.
In Tim’s eyes, family was everything; there was nothing more important, nothing more precious, and nothing more worthy of his absolute attention than the lives of the people he held most dear. This is not to say that he was an overly serious man. Those who knew Tim knew him as a natural entertainer and, whether the audience was 1 or 1000, he loved to bring joy and laughter to those around him. He was a talented self-taught harmonica player and gifted singer. Tim’s sense of adventure was crafted in the Boy Scouts and never waned. He cherished every opportunity to escape to the serenity of quiet mountains or stand amidst the waves and cast a line into the sea.
Tim is survived by his loving wife of over 35 years, Terri, his children Benjamin, Justin, Evan, and Erin (Shane), his father Robert, and granddaughter Catherine. Tim was preceded in death by his mother Lola Maxine Rice.
Due to COVID-19, the family will be holding a private ceremony.
