Tommy Broadwater

September 24, 1957 — September 7, 2020

Thomas (Tommy) Levi Broadwater also known as Big Tommy, 62, went home to be with the lord on September 7th, 2020 of natural causes.  He was born September 24th, 1957 in Brunswick, Georgia, the son of William H. and Princess Ann.  Tommy was a lifelong Florida resident who made a career as a commercial insulator for many years before retiring. He is survived by his son; Tommy (wife) Amy, daughter Mandy, grandchildren Aidan, Ashton, Kaleb, Kamden, Ethan, Isabella and Bailey.  Sisters, Diann and Deborah and many beloved nieces and nephews.  He was predeceased in death by his son JC, mother Princess Ann, father William, sisters Lori, Kim and Jean.

Big Tommy enjoyed fishing, fast cars and loud music.  He could normally be found sitting in his rocking chair listening to Southern Rock and Country Music.  He was a big supporter of his grandsons and their love of baseball.  Although he was unable to see all of his grandchildren on a regular basis or frequently.....he wanted them all to know they were loved and thought about daily.  During football season you could often hear him yelling "Go Dawgs."  Big Tommy will be remembered for his quick wit and sense of humor.  He had a way of making everyone laugh. He was loved by many and will be deeply missed.

The family will receive friends from 10:00 - 11:00 am, Tuesday, September 15, 2020 in the Broadus-Raines Chapel with funeral services starting at 11:00 am with Pastor Matt MacNaughton officiating. Graveside to follow at Gethsemane Memorial Gardens.
