Trevor James Slocum, age 10, of Orange Park, FL passed away on Sunday, October 18, 2020 at 2:10 am. He was born to his parents John J. Slocum, Jr. and Shawn M. Slocum on June 2, 2010 in Orange Park, FL. He was a member of Crossroad Lutheran Church. He will be remembered for the abundance of love he gave to so many people without ever uttering a single word or raising his arms to give a single hug. His expressions told his story, including his famous “side eye.”
He is preceded in death by his paternal grandparents Capt. John J. Slocum and Elizabeth J. Slocum and his cousin Mallory Dealy.
He is survived by his older sister, Shannon Nicole Slocum (Baker Bryan) and brother, Michael Sean Slocum and his grandparents, Jim and Wilma Naylor. Furthermore, he is survived by his uncles Mark Slocum (Joelene Slocum) and Jim Naylor (Teena Naylor) and his aunts Cathy Slocum and Karen Dealy (Dale Dealy). In addition, he is survived by his cousins: Herbert Smith (Brian Kludy), Ryan Smith (Heather Smith), Nikki Smith, Alex Slocum (Amber Slocum), Mark James Slocum (Shannon Slocum), Joseph Slocum, Tyler Slocum, Emily Woods (Wade Woods) and Claire Naylor. He is also survived by his niece Kiana Bryan.
His memorial service will be held for immediate family only.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Trevor’s name to Wolfson’s Children’s Hospital.
