Vera M. Haisten

Vera M. Haisten, 93, of Orange Park, FL, passed away on Saturday, October 14, 2017. She was born on December 24, 1923 in Astoria, OR to John Siegfred Broman and Elsa Mathilda Karloon Haisten. She came to this area in 1977 from Charleston, SC. She was a devoted home maker and a member of the Orange Park United Methodist Church.She was predeceased by her devoted husband, Fredrick E. Haisten; a son Phillip J. Gerringer; two daughters, Dawn La’Vece and Sharon Kingston Sasser.Mrs. Haisten is survived by two daughters, Teri Haisten Clark (Charles) and Lynne Streetman (Lee); a sister, Betty Ann Cunningham of Astoria, OR and many grandchildren, great-grandchildren and their families.A graveside service will be held 1:00 pm Thursday, November 2, 2017 at Jacksonville National Cemetery, 4083 Lannie Rd., Jacksonville, FL 32218.In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in her name may be made to Haven Hospice Custead Care Center, 745 Blanding Blvd., Orange Park, FL 32065.
