Vivian Lee Maguire, 95, passed away peacefully on March 17th, 2025.
Vivian was born in Jacksonville, Florida, on August 24, 1929. She lived a long and fulfilling life, marked by kindness, resilience, and a deep love for those around her. Those fortunate enough to know her will remember her warm, incredible smile and infectious laughter and her unwavering dedication to her faith.
Vivian was a long-time member of St. Mary’s Episcopal Church in Green Cove Springs, FL, before moving to Orange Park, FL, where she became a founding member of Good Samaritan Episcopal Church. Later in life, she moved to St. Augustine and attended the Methodist Church. Upon settling in Keystone Heights, FL, she joined Immanuel Anglican Church, where she remained active in her faith community.
She is preceded in death by her loving first husband, of 22 years, Lisle E. Kenney, the father of her children and her beloved husband, Elliott Maguire of 17 years, her daughter, Kathy Jackson, her son-in-law, Jack Jackson, and her granddaughter, Nikki Jolley.
Vivian is survived by her two daughters, Lynda Knight (Mike) and Kimberly Jolley (Travis); as well as seven grandchildren: Lee Jackson, Michelle Smith (Ron), Mike Knight (Jana), Melissa Rozier (Tom), Trae Jolley, Victoria Hughes (Shane), and Tyler Jolley (Miranda).
She is also survived by her beloved great-grandchildren: Chad Smith (Kyrie), Lauren Slater (Travis), Kaila Smith, Morgan Knight, Gabe Knight, Ben Knight, Shepherd Rozier, Ryland Rozier, Rosa Lee Rozier, Jace Jolley, Brooks Jolley, Blake Hughes, Baker Jolley, and Dean Hughes.
Vivian was further blessed with great-great-grandchildren: Oliver Smith and Baby Girl Smith, and twin babies with Jesus, Asher David Slater and Kamryn Michelle Slater along with numerous nieces and nephews. Vivian also held very close to her heart her stepchildren, step grandchildren, step great grandchildren and step nieces and nephews.
Vivian’s life was a testament to love, generosity, and strength, and her legacy will live on in the hearts of all who knew her. She is deeply loved and will be dearly missed.
The family will receive friends at 10:00am on Monday, March 24, 2025, in the Broadus-Raines Chapel. Funeral services will begin at 11:00am with Archbishop Raul E. Toro, Jr. officiating and burial will follow at Hickory Grove Cemetery.
