Walter P. Koslo, Sr.

January 18, 1932 — September 11, 2023

Walter P. Koslo, Sr, 91, passed away on September 11, 2023. He was born on January 18, 1932, son of Basil and Agnes Koslo in Phoenixville, PA. He was married to Erma (Ernst) Koslo for 61 years. He served six years in the US Navy as a Tin Can Sailor on the USS Witek and also worked for 45 years at Dana Corporation, Pottstown, PA, as a journeyman machine repairman. Walter volunteered for many years at the hospitals in Pottstown, PA, Hudson, FL, and Orange Park and for the Red Cross as a bloodmobile driver. During his spare time, he loved to hunt and fish. He was a member of Knights of Columbus, VFW, Lower Pottsgrove Sportsman’s Club and St. Luke’s Catholic Church. He is survived by a wife, Erma, son, Walter, Jr., and wife Heidi, a daughter, Jennifer and one grandchild, Emma, who is serving in the USAF. He is predeceased in death by brothers Steve, Alex, John and Joseph and two sisters Katherine and Mary. A Funeral Mass will be held at 11:00 am on Monday, September 18, 2023 at St. Luke’s Catholic Church with Fr. Pervaiz Masih as celebrant. Visitation will be from 10:00 am until service time in the church. Interment will take place at 2:30 pm at Jacksonville National Cemetery with military honors.
