Frank Cox

Frank Cox, 86, of Green Cove Springs, FL went home to be with his Lord and Savior on May 7, 2013. He was born on March 16, 1927 in Mt. Olive, MS to parents Jim and Fannie Richardson Cox. Mr. Cox served his country in the United States Army and had worked as an electrician. He had been a Little League Baseball and Pop Warner Football Coach for 32 years and enjoyed hunting, fishing and golf. Mr. Cox was a member of Hickory Grove Baptist Church and will be dearly missed by his loving family and friends. Mr. Cox was preceded in death by his parents and by his siblings, Charles, Jeff, Shirley, Elizabeth, Snooky and Harris. He is survived by his wife, Ida Lee Cox; children, Elaine Rhoades (Steve), Frances McClamroch (Scott), Janis Kirk (Perry) and James Cox (Kim); brother, Jack Cox (Betty); grandchildren, Christopher Brown, Joshua Moody, Jennifer Brown and Zachary and Kaley Cox and great-grandchildren, Landon, Mason and Kyllian. Funeral services will be held at 11:30 am Saturday, May 11, 2013 at Hickory Grove Baptist Church with Pastor Russell Franklin officiating. The family will receive friends in the church from 10:00 am until service time on Saturday. Interment will follow in Hickory Grove Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Chris Brown, Zachary Cox, Joshua Moody, David Chesser, Norris Chesser and Steve Thomas. Honorary pallbearers will be Jim Loner and Marvin Davis.
