Curtis Allen Morrison

September 23, 1934 – April 6, 2023

We lost a special soul into God’s arms today.

Curt loved with all his heart.  He leaves behind his wife, Linda Morrison; an adopted son, Danny; and two other sons and two daughters.  He touched lives wherever he went with love and compassion.

He joined the Navy in 1954 during the Korean Conflict and was the “Electrician of the boat” on a submarine.  When he left the Navy he joined the Police Department in St. Louis, Missouri.  After almost 40 years he left to move to Florida where he worked for 20 years with the Department of Corrections as a Probation Officer.

In 2014 he moved to the Middleburg, Florida area.  In 2017 he married the love of his life, Linda and became very active in the Middleburg United Methodist Church.  He and Linda have spent many hours with the Food Bridge.  He would spend his time monitoring the activity after hours around the church property.  He was known to help everywhere he went and showed it in his efforts with the Black Creek Lions Club.  He and Linda were partners in fund raising activities for the Lions Club and the Food Bridge.  Christmas caroling at Pine Crest each year and gathering toys for children for the Lions Club and bell ringing for the Salvation Army.

He will be missed.

A memorial service will be held at 11:00am on Saturday, May 6, 2023, at Middleburg United Methodist Church with Reverend Brian Sanderson officiating.  A reception will follow at the church and the family has requested that you bring a covered dish.

Interment at Jacksonville National Cemetery with military honors will be held at 11:30am on Friday, May 12, 2023.
