Donna Hunt Childers

Donna Hunt Childers, led by the hand of her Lord and Savior Jesus, entered into heaven on May 28, 2020. Donna was born in Chicago, Illinois on May 2, 1965 to her parents, Pastor Charlie and Mary Hunt. She was preceded in death by her husband Roy Keith Childers, Jr., and is survived by her loving son Jacob Roy Childers and his much loved fiancé, Rebecca Sleezer; two sisters, Susan Worley (Mike) and Beth Markey (Colin), one brother Chuck Hunt (Michele), three nephews, two nieces, three great nephews and many other family members and friends.

Donna graduated from Clay High School and obtained her Associate Degree from FCCJ. She started her career at the Clay County Tax Collector’s Office and retired from the Clay County Clerk’s Office. She was a member of Black Pond Baptist Church and was a born again Christian.

Donna will be remembered most for her unique kindness and her deep capacity to feel. Donna so loved her family, most especially Jake. She loved her dogs and cats and spoiled many over the years. She had many friends, and those that she loved, she loved in that Donna way of hers. She always made you feel special. Donna was an exceptionally rare soul. Oh how much she will be missed.

So, if you may not have seen or spoken to her recently, that’s ok. Donna loved you. Please take peace in knowing that Donna is now with the one who loved her the most, Jesus.

The family will have a private service. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to your local animal shelter or church.
