George David Solomon

George David Solomon of Orange Park, Florida passed away on January 24, 2022. He was born to parents George Delano Solomon and June Mildred Thompson on November 29, 1963 in Jacksonville, Florida.

George graduated from Ed White High School and had a career in the transportation industry for 30+ years. He married Dana Solomon on April 9, 1994, and they have been together for a total of 34 years. George loved the beach, fishing, the Florida Gators and most importantly, his family. He will always be remembered for being the best husband, father, and man that anyone has ever met. He never met a stranger and impacted anyone he’s ever met. George is preceded in death by his father, George Delano Solomon, and his mother, June Mildred Thompson.

He is survived by his wife, Dana Solomon; his daughter, Kelsey Solomon; his son, Dylan Solomon; his sisters, Leslie Danson (Thad) and Lynn Stewart (Dave); father-in-law, James Whittaker; sister-in-law, Kristi McSwain (Eric); brother-in-law, Trevor Whittaker; and nieces and nephews, Matt, Sean, Kyle, Taylor, Lauren, Thad and Allie.

A memorial service will be held at 11:00am on Tuesday, February 8th, 2022 in the Broadus-Raines Chapel.
