Nellie Louise Brooker

Nellie Louise Brooker, 77, of Green Cove Springs, Florida, passed away on Sunday, November 12, 2023.  Born to the late Richard and Grace Lang.  She graduated from Orange Park High School and worked at Blue Cross and Blue Shield for 30 years.  She was married to the late Al Brooker of Green Cove Springs, Florida.  She attended Hickory Grove Baptist Church.  In her spare time, she loved to pull Grayson in the wagon.  In her retirement years, she loved walking and going out with her lunch bunch friends on Sundays after church.  But her most favorite thing was talking on the phone with family and friends. She is preceded in death by her brothers:  Oscar, Walter, Charles, David, Gene, Bill, R.D., Clarence, and Earl.  She is survived by 2 brothers, Jim Bud and Tommy Lang of Clay Hill, Florida and numerous nieces and nephews.  

The family will receive friends at 10:00am on Tuesday, November 21, 2023 at Hickory Grove Baptist Church.  Funeral services will begin at 11:00am with Dr. Russell Franklin officiating.  Burial will follow at Long Branch Cemetery.
